On February 28, Sonyo Compressor (Dalian) held a launching ceremony for its smart workshop for large-capacity scroll compressors. The event was attended by Fan Wen, vice president of Bingshan Group, Yoji Tanaka, a representative from Panasonic, Liu Yuhuan, managing director of the company, as well as other leaders and workshop representatives. As the sign for the ‘Smart Workshop for Large-capacity Scroll Compressors’ was raised, this strategic project officially commenced production.

The surge in demand for large-capacity scroll compressor models has become a new growth driver for the company. With the new mid-term strategy in focus, to overcome production capacity bottlenecks, Sonyo Compressor initiated the construction of the smart workshop for large-capacity scroll compressors. Over a period of 218 days, the company restructured its plant layout, upgraded quality control standards, and introduced advanced manufacturing equipment to create a digitalized production cluster. The workshop features cutting-edge production lines, including large-capacity model assembly, intelligent leak detection, and an automated electrophoretic coating system. With 100% automation in key processes, artificial intelligence (AI)-guided robotic vision, and a self-developed patented oil injection system, this workshop sets a new benchmark for smart manufacturing.

During the ceremony, Liu Yuhuan expressed gratitude to the dedicated employees and leaders who attended. He emphasized that the workshop is a testament to the company’s commitment to high quality, high standards, and high efficiency, exceeding industry norms. He described it as the starting point for ‘Made in China’ intelligent manufacturing and encouraged employees to embrace challenges and seize opportunities to continue growing in a competitive market.

On behalf of Bingshan Group Chairman Ji Zhijian, Fan Wen congratulated Sonyo on the launch of the new workshop and shared two key expectations for the compressor team. After the ceremony, the leaders present toured the new workshop and witnessed the roll-out of the first large-capacity scroll compressor.
